PA Fish & Boat Commission
Take a Canoe Ride on the Monongahela! Staff from the PA Fish & Boat Commission will be on hand to outfit you with a life jacket, give you tips and launch you onto the river in a canoe.

Pittsburgh’s newest water taxi has partnered with FontanaFest for the 2nd consecutive year – visit the FontanaFest booth at the event for timed tickets and then head to the dock for a ride down the three rivers as part of the day’s festivities. Visit Website

Steely McBeam, the official mascot of the Pittsburgh Steelers, will visit FontanaFest from 2 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Iceburgh, the official mascot of the Pittsburgh Penguins, will visit FontanaFest from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. to greet attendees, engage in a few antics and post for some photos too. Don’t miss him!

The Pirate Parrot is back at FontanaFest again and will visit with attendees from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum
Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum Have you had a chance to see the 6th Regiment United States Colored Troops Drum Corps? This group of young men will parade through FontanaFest at 1 p.m. using the cadences and dressed in the uniforms of the Civil War.

The National Aviary
Throughout history, white doves have been a symbol of peace, unity, friendship and hope. At 12:30 p.m., attendees at FontanaFest will have an opportunity to see a dove release thanks to the participation of the National Aviary.

U.S. Steelpan Academy
The U.S. Steelpan Academy, under the direction of Jonnet Solomon-Nowlin, will give two performances at FontanaFest. Join them from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and again from 2-2:30 p.m. for some sounds of the Carribean.

Join Pittsburgh River Rescue at FontanaFest as they provide a dive demonstration and show attendees about the work that they do to keep people on the Three Rivers safe!

Allegheny County 9-1-1 Mobile Unit
Allegheny County Emergency Services will be on hand this year with its Mobile 9-1-1 unit to teach kids about how to make a 9-1-1 call, what information to give and how they can help emergency responders.
